Moaning's from the Mash Tun August 2021 - Flipflops and Hawaiian Shirts...

Well August is finally upon us!

It saw me donning on my flipflops, Hawaiian shirt and factor 50 for a “meet the brewer” event over at Bridlington. Sadly these items were not required, as it was a rainy, cold, damp Friday evening...

The pub to be so kind enough to host me for the evening was The Old Ship Inn, and we were fortunate enough to have 3 of our cask beers available,

Hazelnut Mild 3.7%, Single Hop Centennial 4.5% & Baltic Rum Porter 6.0%. I can tell thi now that all the beers were in tip top condition and the Single Hop Centennial was a belter. It was a great evening and nice to meet some of the Bridgehouse following.

If you are interested in holding a “Meet the Brewer” evening, then please get in touch with our sales team. Boris said we are allowed to start Brewery Tours again. The first tour date is 29/09/2021 at 5pm.

With us now been in a new month, we have released a brand new session beer.

White Bear 3.9%

Light straw in colour and a sweet malt backbone. The use of American Cascade & Chinook gives this beer a well rounded grapefruit and pineapple flavour, making it a session favourite.

The test batch of this got a great response from the brewery team, and I’m really looking forward to trying it. In order for me to brew this beer it required a good dry hopping of pellets, to do this we had to invest in some upgrades to our fermenting vessels as they were not up to the job before.

Keep your eyes peeled on social media for the release of the next single hop beer, I’ve heard rumours that it maybe a hop from New Zealand......

Simon.
